Mario Quintana High School was envisioned and created by its founder, Prof. Esp. Carlos dos Santos Valério. It was established in Pelotas in 1994 and, by the end of that year, received authorization from the State Council of Education to operate.
The school opened its doors in February 1995 at 3395 Bento Gonçalves Avenue, offering a more advanced High School education, with classes in two shifts and a team of qualified professionals prepared to ready students for admission to Brazilian universities and the job market. This innovative approach to a differentiated education led to high demand for enrollment, with the student body growing every year.
Mario Quintana School focuses on "always staying ahead" in its actions, achieving results year after year that demonstrate the effectiveness and excellence of its educational project.
In 2018, the school launched its Bilingual Program – Portuguese and English – starting with the Baby class, following global trends on the importance of early language education. The school's Early Childhood Education features a fully integrated Bilingual Curriculum from Baby class onwards, with the program extending to the 9th grade.
